Transplantation MOOC Our new Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on liver transplantation, led by Dr Patricia Lalor.
This course showcases the Ins and Outs of liver transplants, here at the University of Birmingham and the QE Hospital.
Liver MOOC Our free online course in liver biology in health and disease.
So far, over 20,000 learners have registered for this free course that shows our research, and discusses how to look after your liver.
Pint of Science Festival Together with Dr Charli Flavell, Zania co-coordinated the first Pint of Science festival in Birmingham in 2015, with 12 sold-out events.

The Big Bang Science Fair at the NEC
Our lab participates in this celebration of science by taking part in activities designed for school children. We participate with the Centre for Liver Research, or with the British Society for Immunology (BSI).

The award-winning public engagement team at the Centre for Liver Research showcase at the annual “meet the scientist” event at the Birmingham Science museum.
We talk to visitors about our work and run experiments, and lots of activities for children and adults.
Queen Elizabeth Hospital Research Showcase
We participate in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Research Showcase day, which is open to anyone that would like to know more about the liver.
We meet with patients and explain how our research aims to develop new therapies for liver disease.
We are STEM ambassadors, working to promote Science and Technology for school children.
